North Richmond Community Health Cooking Demonstrations
‘We had received WorkHealth funding and were looking for ways to best spend the money. Staff were asked for suggestions and healthy cooking demonstrations were mentioned. During previous Workhealth checks, participants scored badly in vegetable intake so Healthy cooking/eating demonstrations would be very helpful. When I spoke with Sarah she was very helpful and keen, so we decided to go ahead.
Our goal was to inform staff of healthy eating options and how they could incorporate vegetables into their diet. I think this goal was achieved. It has been interesting to see barley and quinoa making regular appearances in our lunchroom since!
Healthy Energy liaised with us at all stages. Even when Sarah was overseas she still answered my emails.
We were very satisfied with the service received. I liked that Sarah answered my queries quickly. Also, she was upfront with cost and there were no hidden extras.
I would recommend Healthy Energy to other workplaces. They responded to queries, returned calls and came well prepared on the day. Sarah presented an informative session that left staff thinking about the foods they ate and keen to incorporate new foods into their diet.’

Chinese Seniors Healthy Aging Expo
‘Healthy Energy helped us achieve our goals by providing an excellent ‘Cooking Demo’ to older Chinese people who have diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol etc. The health talk accompanied by cooking demo was very helpful and beneficial in responding to the Chinese Seniors health needs.
Very good with communication via email and telephone conversations; trustworthy to deliver what they promised; very friendly and respectful towards the other service providers and senior clients; provided a useful and relevant info during the health talk and cooking demonstration; the “Dietitian Cooking Demo” was one of the best features of the Expo – thank you.’

Healthy cooking Demonstrations during Work Safe Week
‘You actually brought a lot of fun to the occasion. You really engaged the audience and everyone at the event responded very positively… Learning to read the labels helped people to realize things they previously didn’t…You gave the ‘people a bit more understanding about what they are looking at…So now they know ‘not to be frightened to try new things.
I was able to do what you instructed easily. It was all nice and simple. I tried it once, and now I’m doing it again and again. That speaks for itself…You were very passionate. We were excited because you were excited.’
