Healthy Energy believes a good health consists of an active and mindful lifestyle. Below are the different yoga classes we offer at our Glen Waverley centre, including fees, timetable and how to book.

 

Yoga Class Types


GENTLE YOGA
Tuesdays 9.30am-10.30am
Instructor: Louisa Kwan

This is a beginners class based on the traditional hatha style of yoga. This means a focus on individual poses, correct body alignment and slowly strengthening the body from beginners level up towards advanced over time. The class is restorative, passive, slow paced and relaxing and involves usually seated, kneeling, lying and occasionally standing postures held at longer lengths of time. The class ends with a short period of meditation to further relax the mind. Perfect for anybody starting their yoga practice for the first time, or seeking to gently become more stronger and flexible in the body and relaxed and stable in the mind.


SLOW VINYASA

Tuesdays 6.30pm-7.30pm
Instructor: Lauren Green

Similar to our Gentle Yoga class, this is a beginners class that also involves holding restorative, passive and gentle poses for longer lengths of time with additional slow paced movements to gently warm the body throughout the class. Slow Vinyasa does not generate heat like Power Yoga will. Useful for eliminating fatigue, stress, depression and anxiety. It’s a great form of yoga for beginners who are seeking a gentle form of activity that will assist in stabilising their mind and body and counteract the busy 21st century lifestyle.


POWER VINYASA

Thursdays 6.30pm-7.30pm
Instructor: Lauren Green

This style of yoga involves more dynamic poses that co-ordinates with the breath to get you from pose to pose. The class composes of a vigorous fitness based yoga that generates heat, body strength building and energetic flow style with different poses and sequences. While it is beneficial to have a basic level of fitness in this class, you don’t need to be flexible. Suitable for people who enjoy a more dynamic form of exercise whilst also incorporating some meditation.

 

Fees

$20 – Single Class
$180 – 10-Class Pass. Pass can be used in any classes within 3 months.
$60 – First Time Introductory Pass. Unlimited classes for 2 weeks!

Tuesday 9.30am-10.30am – Gentle Yoga (Beginners)
Tuesday 6.30pm-7.30pm – Slow Vinyasa (Beginners)
Thursday 6.30pm-7.30pm – Power Vinyasa (Beginners – Advanced)

All classes are held at Healthy Energy Holistic Nutrition & Lifestyle Centre. 490 Springvale Road, Glen Waverley 3150
Mats are provided and refreshments are served at the end of each yoga class.
